MakerBot Workshop #2 Great Success
MakerBot Industries Zach Hoeken came to Philly this past Saturday for Hive76’s second MakerBot WorkShop, and it was, of course awesome. During the class we also built an ABS feed for 3DPO using a Skyhook from Thingiverse and a milk crate.
We had a good turnout, and everyone had a blast. Thanks to all of you who attended. We look forward to seeing you again!
Music Night This Monday
On Monday the 21st, we’ll be having our first ever DIY music night. Anyone with an interest in music –whether its assembling analog effect pedals, designing custom MIDI plug-ins, or modding up a fretless bass — is welcome. Come with your own personal secret project, team up with like minds, or get some guidance from our resident experts. There will be copious supplies of common electronic components (no digikey necessary), several computer workstations, and a good deal of geeky comraderie for inspiration and assistance. This study-group/workshop is open to novices and pros alike.
And feel free to bring a guitar/synth/childrens-toy to jam out on!
MakerBot Workshop #2
The MakerBot workshop is happening right here at Hive76, starring MakerBot co-founder Zack Hoeken. The class is Saturday September 19th, from 1PM to 5PM. You just need to show up on time, and with a laptop, and we do the rest. We’ll teach you everything you need to do a first design, and a first printing using the MakerBot. Tickets for the 4 hours class are $25 (or $5 for students).
**BONUS: If you were a MakerBot Donor you will get a discount code for this class emailed to you. Thanks again!**
